Before your first game: a practical guide to getting started
From checking the platform to protecting your account, here is what to understand before you register—and what to keep in mind afterwards.

Account safetyEditorial photography · illustrative settingCommunity membership never requires sharing an account password, a one-time code, a banking PIN, or remote access to your device.
Before typing information, check the full destination in the browser address bar. A familiar name or logo can be copied. A secure connection helps protect data in transit, but it does not by itself prove that the business behind a site is trustworthy.
Our registration button opens a separate operator website. Confirm its identity, terms, privacy policy, and support route independently. DM FIRST does not verify your account and cannot check a password or code for you.
Choose a password that you do not reuse for email, banking, or other accounts. Reuse makes one compromised service more dangerous because an attacker may try the same credentials elsewhere. A reputable password manager can help create and store unique credentials.
Enable two-factor authentication where available and keep recovery methods secure. Someone claiming to provide support should not ask you to reveal a one-time code. Codes are often designed to authorize access or transactions, not to identify you to a stranger.
After joining a group or channel, you may receive messages from accounts that appear related to it. A matching profile photo, display name, or confident claim is not enough to establish identity.
Do not install remote-access software, share your screen while banking, or send documents because of an unsolicited message. Return to a support route you locate independently inside the service rather than using the contact details supplied by the message.
Describe an issue with the relevant time, error text, device, and transaction reference if the official service requests it. Avoid including passwords or full payment credentials in screenshots. Redact unnecessary personal information before sharing a document through a legitimate support flow.
For a problem with an external account, contact that operator. The DM FIRST practice profile is local and fictional, so there is no real account password to recover and no real funds for an administrator to release.
If credentials may have been shared, use an independently verified route to change the relevant password and review active sessions. Contact the affected payment provider promptly if money or banking access may be involved.
Keep a record of suspicious messages and use the platform’s reporting tools. Avoid anyone asking for a further payment to recover a loss or unlock an account; a recovery promise can be another attempt to obtain money.
